The Hyperbrain, Untethered Mind, Fish Out of Water

Head-Frustration judges and moves away from the head center’s need for full perception, orientation, and truth in favor of creating possibilities and new frames of reference - unhindered by reality and pre-established systems.

The head center is no longer mainly being used as a perceptive tool, and instead utilized to proactively escape the lack of stimulation for a continuous feeling of change and movement in the current state. By creating a positively charged goal or pathway, 7 removes the feelings of lack in the current state and keeps the psyche in a state of active engagement with progress toward an idealized state.

The buzz of acquiring knowledge that every head type chases on some level has become a basic need in the case of enneagram 7 - as they speed through new concepts, derivations of things, or outwardly push into the world to build a new direction.

As a frustrated head type, 7 experiences dissatisfaction when they dont see that they are making progress toward a more idealized state that is more impactful and desired; rejecting the body and reality on some level to keep themselves off the ground and moving in the direction of something more.

There is a deep need for liberty and freedom from structure, as structures are seen as temporary beliefs or emotional states - meant to be altered toward something more satisfying - which can give individuals of this type a lucky leprechaun attitude.

Head-Frustration is attached to the maintenance of this movement and positive charge as the basic condition and normative frame of reference do not provide the feedback loop of more and more novel change that serve their needs.

This type is very much driven and forceful at maintaining hopefulness and optimisim toward their own plans and reject attempts at dismissal or “reality-checks”.

Head-frustration has an innate belief that knowledge, opinions, and perspectives are to be used for effects or outcomes rather than just “understanding”.

Their ability to overcome situations mentally makes them believe they are invincible - creating a void of growing problems.

The head center is split in the middle by six

7 uses the mind to escape the transformative weight of emotional experience; creating transformative concepts to maintain a state of upward motion without costs like pain or feeling of powerlessness.

Resolution point: consider embracing transformative feelings of pain and powerlessness instead of defaulting to building optimistic plans that transform the external world through indulgence. the eternal gaping mouth of the whale will be satisfied once it truly feels its hunger.

  • Assertive (3, 7, 8): Pushes and takes charge of setting narratives that are self-serving, further removing the self from the vulnerabilities that lie in stagnancy in a way so they cannot be caught. Forceful with self-compass

  • Frustration (1, 4, 7): Driven to affirm and direct idealized experiences and perspectives that are seen as more worthy, shunning the more mundane and boring aspects of life. Need for self-generated ideas as foundation for orientation.
