Intellectual aspect of the emotional center. 3 is concerned with analyzing and processing qualities and attributes of being to organize and refine their expression according to standards that maximize self-worth.

Image-Attachment refuses the center’s need to establish a sense of inner worth based on internal parameters and instead seeks to reformulate and build the self toward externally recognizable aspects that signify excellence/value.

There is a splitting of the self between the accepted and unacceptable aspects, measured according to existing standards that have the qualities of significance the three is looking for.

As an image type, three seeks to create something valuable of the self that is worthy of admiration to battle the sense of shame that exists in the unprocessed and unedited version of the self.

3's always aware of the gaze of the other and based on the felt value exchange, they micromanage behaviors to ensure they are still embodying competency in the field of interest or specific gaze of the other - maintaining continuous control of their image.

Susceptible to self-deceit by severing unacceptable aspects, which can create massive waves of internal conflict when the object of attachment that provides validity and proof for the three’s worth ceases to provide it.

Unlike 2's that glorify generoisty, warmth, and kindness as the pinnacle for understanding human value, 3 focuses on capacity and achievements as the primary role of the individual to prove value. And unlike 4's that believe their internal experience and authenticity of emotional state is the pillar of value -- and are thus  separated from external metrics or assessments of self  -- 3 seeks to understand these metrics and apply them to gain an upper hand.
